I am a Training, HR, and Staff Development Consultant, specialising in working with SMEs. As a business owner myself I have a clear understanding of what the smaller business needs and the framework in which it operates. I have a friendly, pragmatic, and commercially minded approach to training and employee engagement and will work with you at every step with as much or as little personal input as you wish.
Whilst I specialise staff training and development, I am also experienced in general HR matters including employee relations practice.
I began my career in HR at media giant Universal Studios, at a time when the company was merging its subsidiary businesses and relocating from the UK to Paris. Following this, I worked as an Employment Law Assistant at two London law firms where I gained Tribunal experience. I then spent three years as Co-Owner and Director of an entertainment company with sole responsibility for the business’s long term training, recruitment, and employee relations functions.
After relocating to Yorkshire, I enjoyed two years as an Employment and Debt Adviser at the Citizens Advice Bureau during which time I worked with employees, small businesses, and occasionally trade union rep’s, on a wide range of matters including disciplinaries, unpaid wages, redundancies, discrimination claims, and
I am hold degrees in both Law, and Human Resources Management, from the universities of London and York. I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and a certified NLP coach and member of the Association for Neuro Linguistic Programming. For your peace of mind, all of my work is covered by professional indemnity insurance.
